Web Viewer Publishing Settings

Web Viewer Publishing Settings

Add parameters to the end of a Jig's web viewer link to choose what viewers see. Hide the View in AR button, open on a specific step, or play every step automatically. The Jig itself doesn't change, so each link or embed can be set up differently.

Parameters work on links that start with https://viewer.jig.space/?jig=, the same address an embed code uses. Each one goes on the end, after an &:

https://viewer.jig.space/?jig=o7LLRx7d&ar=0&ucontrol=0

This link hides the View in AR button and the step arrows and counter.

Show or hide controls

Action Add to link Default
Hide the View in AR button ar=0 Shown
Hide the step arrows and counter ucontrol=0 Shown
Hide the instructions panel and audio button utext=0 Shown
Make the background transparent sbox=0 Background shown

Loading and playback

Action Add to link Default
Open on a specific step step=4 Step 1
Wait for a tap before loading autoload=0 Loads right away
Play every step automatically autoplay=1 Uses the Jig's settings
Turn off autoplay autoplay=0 Uses the Jig's settings
Seconds on each step during autoplay stepdelay=8 Each step's own timing
Go back to step 1 after the last step autoplay=1loop=1 Uses the Jig's settings

The background, starting step, loading, and autoplay options are also in the **Embed** tab when you share a Jig. The others only work on the link.

Examples

Use case Add to link
Product page with its own copy and navigation sbox=0ucontrol=0utext=0ar=0
Unattended trade show or kiosk screen autoplay=1loop=1stepdelay=8ucontrol=0
Training link that opens partway through step=5
Page with several embedded Jigs autoload=0

Add parameters to a link

  1. Copy your Jig's embed code. See Embedding Jigs in websites.
  2. Find the web address inside src="…". It starts with https://viewer.jig.space/?jig=.
  3. Add each parameter to the end of the address, starting with &. For example, &ar=0.
  4. Paste the address back into the embed code, or share it as a link on its own.

Links copied from the Share tab start with link.jig.space. Parameters only work on viewer.jig.space addresses, so start from the embed code.

Things to consider

  • Use 1 to show or turn on, and 0 to hide or turn off. Any other value, like true, counts as off. Leave a parameter out to keep its default.
  • Parameter names are case-sensitive. ar=0 works; AR=0 is ignored.
  • Use each parameter once. If the address already has step=1, change it to step=4 rather than adding a second one: the first one wins.
  • Hiding the step arrows leaves the keyboard arrow keys working. If the Jig itself hides its step controls, ucontrol=1 won't show them.
  • For now, ucontrol=0 also hides the instructions panel. A web viewer update will make it hide only the step arrows and counter.
  • ar=0 hides View in AR on every device, including Apple Vision Pro and the desktop button that shows a QR code.
  • When a viewer taps View in AR on iPhone or iPad, the Jig opens in the App Clip, which doesn't use these parameters.
  • If your team's Jigs are hosted in the EU, links start with https://viewer.eu.jig.space/?jig=. Parameters work the same way.
  • Some embed codes include shad=1. It turns on shadows, which are already on by default, so you can leave it in.
